Luis Alcauter was born and raised in Mexico and relocated to California at the age of 14. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from California State University – Fresno. As a DACA recipient, he advocates by informing the public about the circumstances Dreamers face by writing an op-ed, published on the Hill, and producing a documentary “Pursuing The Dream - A DACAmentary.” In 2018, he was U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders’ guest to the State of the Union.
He is currently a Partner and Director of Creative Designs at Solidarity Strategies, where he creates digital and print content that is appealing, creative, and effective for various causes. His work has been recognized by Campaign & Elections’ Reed Awards.
Prior to his experience in consulting, he worked for the U.S. Forest Service, the Mexican Consulate, and U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer through the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
Luis specializes in visual design advocacy and his work includes Pandora ads for Rep. Darren Soto, canvassing materials for Mi Familia Vota, mail pieces for progressive candidates, among others. He leads the digital team on managing, curating, and developing the social media work for our clients.
