Our goal was to create a mailer that not only engaged Latino voters in Central Florida but also became a cherished keepsake. Centering our design around the beloved Latin American icon, El Chavo, we tapped into a shared cultural affection. We innovatively adapted El Chavo's well-known catchphrase, "No contaban con mi astucia" ("They did not count on my astuteness"), adding "Ni con mi voto" ("Or my vote"), to blend humor with the empowering message of voting. This strategy was more than just an outreach effort; it was designed to inspire voters to keep this piece of mailer, turning it into a poster for their fridges, a daily reminder of their voting power and the joyful spirit of their culture.
