Chuck Rocha was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. He started his union career at the age of 19 as a member of the United Rubber Workers Local 746. Chuck became the youngest officer ever to be elected, and was later appointed as National Political Director - the only Latino to serve in a significant U.S. labor union at that position.
In 2010, Chuck founded Solidarity Strategies, a political consulting firm that specializes in providing services including mail, phones, and general consulting to progressive candidates and nonprofits. Solidarity Strategies is a Latino-owned business and has grown to be Latino operated. He has served as an advisor for past presidential campaigns in his own personal capacity but is most proud of the firm's work for presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders in 2016.
Chuck frequently makes appearances on the news, providing insight on Latino issues and current political races. He is a regular contributor on FOX News as a Latino vote expert and Democratic strategist. Chuck also authors op-eds on the Hill and the Huffington Post.
Chuck currently serves as an Executive Board Member for the Hispanic Lobbyists Association and Demos. He is a graduate of the Harvard University Trade Union program. Chuck is a recipient of the 2016 Goldies All-Stars award for his work as a Senior Advisor to Bernie Sanders’ Presidential campaign. In 2017, he was elected a member of the District of Columbia Democratic State Committee.
